Cicha noc, powstała w Obendorfie w Austrii, przetłumaczona na 300 języków

"Cicha noc" jest najpopularniejszą kolędą znaną na całym świecie, śpiewaną w 300 językach i dialektach. Jak powstała? Wikary kościoła w Obendorfie w Austrii, Jozef Mohr, po wizycie duszpasterskiej w roku 1818 u ubogiej położnicy będąc pod wrażeniem jej życia napisał tekst. Tekst ten tak spodobał się miejscowemu organiście, Franciszkowi Ksaweremu Gruberowi, że jeszcze tego samego dnia napisał do niego muzykę i zaśpiewał tę kolędę w kościele.

Kolęda bardzo spodobała się wiernym i od tego czasu była tłumaczona na różne języki świata.
